What this report covers

THE INDUSTRY RUNS ON CLAIMS
The measured picture is worse than the claims. A 2025 audit looked at 4.1 billion survey attempts. About a third were fraudulent, another quarter were people not paying attention, and roughly 70% of that bad data got through standard cleaning.

That gap, between claiming clean and measuring it, is the whole problem. Every figure in this report is measured, with its denominator and time period shown.

WHAT WE MEASURED IN Q1 2026
1.1 million survey attempts on PaidViewpoint, aytm's proprietary panel. Completion yield counts every exit between a start and a qualified complete, including targeting screens and quota limits alongside quality removals.

We publish it as a funnel measure, so most of what it captures is a respondent not matching a study, not a quality problem. It's a window into the funnel, and we aim to show it openly rather than reporting only the flattering slice.
